Dubbed the Avalanche GTR 650 Evo-R, this heavily-modded Porsche 911 Turbo boasts an incredible 650hp and takes just 3.4 seconds to accelerate from 0-100km/h. It doesn’t just stop there, however, as the car boasts an incredible 950Nm of torque and 332km/h top speed. So how has Gemballa achieved these incredible performance figures?
Gemballa treated the car to an extensive engine overhaul – installing a custom racing crankshaft, a titanium connecting rod, forged pistons, fabricated-camshafts and cylinder heads, full racing-spec turbochargers, a carbon air box and induction kit, to name just a few mods. With so much work undertaken on the engine, you’d think the car’s looks would have suffered slightly, but that certainly isn’t the case! Despite being dressed in jet-black paint, the car is incredibly eye catching thanks to features such as its specially designed gull wing doors, a custom bonnet, carbon wings, re-designed front skirt, integrated carbon lips and towering carbon spoiler.
To the rear, Gemballa has added LED brake lights, a new rear skirt, a custom rear diffuser and four beautifully designed exhaust tail pipes. Completing the car’s menacing, low-slung look, is a set of 20-inch lightweight Avalanche alloys. Obviously, with such a manic boost in power, Gemballa had to adjust the handling, and that’s where the new 6-piston brake callipers, modded coilover kit and sport stabilisers come in.
