As has been rumoured for what feels like years, it's an SUV based on the same platform as the Honda Jazz.It will be offered with a choice of petrol or petrol-electric hybrid engines and available in front- or four-wheel drive variants. It's certainly not the most exciting new car to be announced in Tokyo, but it's arguably one of the most relevant. Choosing between the Kode 7 and Kode 9 would be like trying to choose between two of your children. It's impossible. So we'll just take both.Naturally, the fact that the mid-mounted engine on the Kode 7 actually pokes out through the bodywork brings out the petrolhead in us. Lightweight track day toys have never looked so appealing.
